Hello SFYLAX Families, On behalf of the entire board, Welcome to the Spring 2019 season! The new board has several exciting ideas for this season. Keep an eye out for details, by way of TeamSnap notifications and emails from the board. This week starts our Spring Thaw practices for the older boys. Planning for spring gets me excited, not only for the prospect of watching my kids play, but also because SPRING IS COMING! A few things for those that are new or those who may have forgotten: *We will do our best to keep you informed, and reminded of upcoming events. We will be utilizing several tools.

*Make sure you’ve downloaded TeamSnap, and keep your availability up-to-date.

*Don’t forget to like us on Facebook, since we’ll be putting information out there, too. You can share exciting news with family and friends by sharing posts to your own timeline.

*We are volunteer based! That means our coaches, board, and team parents help out because we love our kids and want them to have a fun time, playing organized lacrosse.

*SFYLAX is affiliated with SEPYLA, another volunteer based organization, which schedules games and ensures rule adherence. More info here: SEPYLA

*All questions or concerns should be sent to sfyouthlax@gmail.com. This email is monitored by the entire board, and will ensure timely responses. Remember, this is a volunteer organization.

We would greatly appreciate any time that you can spare to help out. I, personally, work rotating shift work with long hours and know that time off is precious. It doesn’t take much work to make a huge impact, however. Even if it is just throwing the balls back during practices, your assistance is appreciated. We’ll be reaching out soon for volunteers to be team parents, to help out with Picture Day, to assist in a variety of ways with our 1st Annual Beef and Beer, etc. Please consider sharing your child’s enthusiasm by keeping this program running at full throttle. Thank you and I look forward to a great season, Shannon Grice SFYLAX President
